“Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." - Isaiah 60:1

A high majority of this generation is turned off by the word "Christian," and even more so by the idea of becoming one. This is because they are familiar with a "form of godliness, denying it's power." But whether you claim to be an atheist, agnostic, Sunday-only-Christian, or committed disciple, there is a longing inside of you for a connection with God; not just an understanding, not a system of beliefs, but a connection. We were designed and created for it above all things. And that desire was sown inside all of us that we might beg the questions only He can answer.

What did Jesus mean when He said, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask whatever you desire and it will be done for you"? How do we become a habitation of God's presence? How does a person "walk in the Spirit" of God? These passages may sound like antiquated human philosophy or grandma's dusty religion, rooted in control and fear; but they are an arrow pointing to the answer of a questioning generation.
There is only one answer, and a lifetime of disappointments, failures and excuses won't change who He is.

Learning how to establish and maintain our connection with God will be the initial Tuesday night focus.

"Arise; Shine, for your light has come..."
